Spin the wheel
Random picker for names, raffles and decisions.
How to use the wheel
Write your entries in the box, one per line: names of students, raffle participants, restaurant options, chores or anything else. The wheel updates as you type. Press Spin! and wait for it to stop: the entry under the arrow is the winner.
Turn on Remove the winner after each spin to draw several different winners in a row, for example first, second and third place in a raffle. Your list is saved in your browser, so it will still be there next time.
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. Each spin uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator to choose the final angle, so every entry has exactly the same chance of winning. The animation is only there to build suspense.
Ideas for using it
- Pick a random student to answer a question in class.
- Choose the winner of a giveaway on social media (show the screen while you spin for transparency).
- Decide what to eat, which movie to watch or who washes the dishes.
- Create teams by removing each name as it is picked.
Frequently asked questions
How many entries can I add?
As many as you want, but with more than 50 the text on each slice becomes very small. For big raffles, try the random number generator instead.
Can I repeat an entry to give it more chances?
Yes. If you write the same entry twice, it gets two slices and twice the probability of winning.
Does the wheel work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the wheel works without an internet connection.
